SGM News - New Young Decision Makes Needed @ New Memberships

27 Feb 2018

At the recent Special General Meeting (SGM on Fri 23rd February 2018), the members present voted unanimously to adopt the Constitutional Amendments proposed.

Two main changes were made.

1. The Rugby Club is looking for young people to join both the Senior and Junior Committees.
Why, so young players views are taken into consideration when decisions effecting them are made. Also, it allows young people to learn new skills and gain experiences that will help them in school, work and rugby.

2. Anyone walking into the rugby club, including Parents and Friends of players are granted automatic temporary day membership. Obviously the rugby club would like to encourage all parents to become Social (£20) or Full (£40) members, and help support the work the club does for the community and young players for free.

Also, the Tranent & District Community Sports Club, the organisation that brings together all the local sports clubs in Tranent, is also looking for young people to join.
