Rugby brings fun and enjoyment to thousands of young people each year. It is a sport which is justifiably proud of the core values that it imparts - teamwork, diversity, fairness, discipline, respect, personal courage, fun and enjoyment.
Scottish Rugby & Ross High Rugby Football Club (RHRFC) recognise that all adults involved in the coaching or supervision of young people have a duty to safeguard their welfare. This duty extends to the prevention of physical, sexual or emotional abuse of any young person and will be applied regardless of a person’s gender, race, religion, sexuality or disability.
RHRFC works hard to deliver programmes of rugby activity for youngsters at all age groups and performance levels. RHRFC is committed to providing a safe and positive, quality experience to the young people involved and to support the volunteers who make this possible.
Child protection in sport is not just about protecting young people from others who may seek to harm them through sport. A trusted coach or leader may be the person a young person chooses to tell about something that is happening outside of their sport. In either case, we all have a responsibility to act on concerns.
RHRFC is commitment to safeguarding children.
The documents located here outline the policies and procedures with regards to Child Protection at RHRFC.
Should anyone have any questions or have the need to raise a concern please get in touch with the RHRFC Child Protection Officer:
