The second half saw both teams go up through the gears and showed off some excellent East Lothian Rugby to the small crowd that had gathered. Both schools had a small support from their fellow pupils, and each team tried to provide them something to cheer about.
After a sustained attack by Ross, Lee Curley charged forward with an individual drive to the line. With Hook injured in an earlier attack Nastaszczuk stepped up to slot over the conversion.
Preston Lodge took advantage of Ross stepping back, and after a couple of attempts stopped by the Ross line, they breached the Ross Right wing and went over in the corner.
Ross was wounded and came back at Preston Lodge with an even more determination to perform. Ben Thomas finally swan diving at the side of a ruck to score the final try of the evening. Having returned to the field of pay, Hook slotted the final conversion over to finish the scoring 8 - 21 to Ross High School.
Both sets of coaches commented that both teams put on an excellent display of East Lothian Rugby and were a credit to both themselves and their schools.
