This course is for everyone to attended, and it is based around safety, from our S1 team all the way up to our 1st XV team. So you need to attend this course if you are going to be coaching, teaching or refereeing this season.

The course is being held on the 30th of August at Ross High RFC, starting at 7pm.

For the course it would be great if you can register online at http://www.scottishrugby.org/community/index.php?option=com_chronocontact&chronoformname=rugbyready&Itemid=353 , it would be great if you can register so I can get the right amount of booklets and course work for the night.

07 Aug 2010 : MURRAYFIELD CENTENARY FUND
"PROVIDING HELP AND SUPPORT TO RUGBY'S OWN"

The Murrayfield Centenary Fund, set up in the Scottish Rugby Union's centenary season 1972-73, focuses on providing assistance to injured Scottish rugby players, and is financially and administratively independent.

Since its inception the Fund has assisted a number of players with short or longer term injuries, with the help and support they needed.

In addition to financial assistance, the Fund also helps with motor vehicles, wheelchairs, computers and adaptations to players' or parents' houses.

The charity is funded through a combination of both generous donations and planned fund-raising events.

It is vitally important that the Fund continues to be able to grow and hence support those who need it most. To enable them to do that, the Trustees welcome all contributions and donations.

To make a contribution or donation, please contact the Fund's Administrator Bill Hogg at Murrayfield Centenary Fund, c/o Scottish Rugby Union, Murrayfield, Edinburgh EH12 5PJ, or by telephone at 0131 346 5000, or by e-mail on mcf@sru.org.uk

Orkney v Ross High – Saturday 28th August 2010

Following the recent switch of our first National 3 league match against Orkney, on Saturday 28th August 2010, from Tranent to Kirkwall, the club is trying to determine how many supporters would be interested in travelling to Orkney to support the 1st XV?

The current intension is to travel north by bus on Friday 27th August and stay overnight in the north of Scotland

Then catch a Saturday morning ferry over to Orkney for the match returning by ferry after the match.

Then returning south to Tranent by bus.

26 May 2010 : THE NEW SEASON
Hi folks.
The new season will soon be upon us and before it starts I think we should try and get people into positions and make this club stronger and ready to drive forward for the foreseeable future.
WE DO NEED ENTHUSIASTIC AND EAGER COMMITTEE MEMBERS
We also have other positions that do not have to be COMMITTEE POSTS, though it would be helpful.
We need backroom staff for all senior teams...we desperately need help with 2nds, and 3rds.
You do not have to commit to Tues/Thurs unless you want to! But help on Saturdays would be greatly appreciated...from putting out flags, helping with strips etc.
There is also the Colts and youth section, who would gladly appreciate help with any team and at any level of help.
We also have the Ladies section who feed the players on match days .The more Ladies that appear, then the less turns on the rota is required.
Personally, I would like everyone to be a “Volunteer” if they see something or an event is happening...It is easy to lend a hand...Whether it is senior or youth.
EXAMPLES...After any home game ,rather than passing a flag or post protector on your way to the club ...bring it with you !
In the club ...if it is busy ,help by taking empties back to the bar, then the bar staff can stay behind the bar and serve more quickly and efficiently..
It is your club and it is your chance to make it successful.....LETS DO IT!!
